Best spicy tuna roll in town! It's a totally unassuming place just looking at the entrance, but the restaurant opens into a beautiful indoor/outdoor area and has a very trendy vibe. The restaurant was packed on a Monday at 5pm, and service was excellent. We went during the Happy Hour menu, which I would highly recommend for the affordable prices.

Let's start by saying, the experience is more like a sushi factory, pushing tables through within 90 minutes. That was our introduction to the dining experience - "You'll have to be out by 7:45." Our waitress was nice and helpful and multiple servers brought the food out as soon as we ordered which became a table real estate problem at certain points. We ordered several smaller plates. We tried the three sake tasting which was fun and the spinach salad which was cooked spinach with this very tasty ginger soy sauce on it. We also tried the octopus sashimi, salmon, tuna and yellowtail nigiri. They were all good except the tuna which had a huge white gristle line in it that was sort of off putting. We tried the smaller tuna special roll too which was super good except for that gristle. The Salmon Presse dish was exceptionally tasty and the roe were super fresh and not overly salty. We really enjoyed this preparation. To finish, we had the two fresh salmon nigiris - sockeye and king. WOWEE! That was truly fabulous. Definitely order that if you see it. Overall, it was a decent meal but felt rushed by the initial tone set.

I'm so excited we found Umi! They boast an impressive menu of specialty sushi options, along with classic rolls and nigiri. Everything we ordered was quickly prepared and served to us as it was ready. Most importantly, nothing disappointed! You could tell the ingredients were fresh and the flavor profiles were well thought out. Highly recommend the crispy rice sampler as a starter! They also offer sake flights that, at $20 for three healthy pours, are a great deal. Service was quick and attentive, and everything was set in a really modern and warm environment. Highly recommend and we can't wait to come back!

Come here for the tempura ice cream, if nothing else! The food was generally good, ambiance was bustling and trendy, and service was mostly good. Our server happened to be having a bad day, as we could hear him complaining behind other's backs and then he gave us some attitude as well. But thankfully the bar tender was super cool and we ended up having a nice meal.

Came here for happy hour (4-6pm daily) with my boyfriend, just wanted to try some sushi! The happy hour here is definitely affordable, wish we hadn't been so full after the 2 rolls, we could've gotten more food to try. You also get complimentary edamame. Sushi was extremely fresh, very good quality, the best california roll I've EVER had. The restaurant is very tranquil and high end luxury vibes. Fun seating, very spacious. Friendly staff everywhere. Definitely on my list to try again.

In a city with so many great sushi places, Umi sake stands out because of its amazing selection of specialty rolls. They have a huge dining area but I would recommend making a reservation as it's busy every time I have been here. They have a great happy hour deal on some of them rolls. Their cocktails are tasty but potent, I usually get their elderflower sake cocktail. They have lots of vegetarian and non-sushi options too.

Umi Sake House was such a treat! The rolls were fresh and generously portioned for the price. The presentation was absolutely beautiful. My favorite out of all three rolls was the Umi House Roll - the creamy scallops were amazing! The interior of the restaurant is very high end feeling, but the price is super fair. All around a great experience with super attentive and quick service. will be coming back for a nice sit down sushi dinner!

They have the best Happy Hour specials I have ever seen at a sushi restaurant!! $9 for the Bad Boy Roll (so, sooo good) and $9 for a ton of fresh salmon sashimi is AMAZING! The Agedashi Tofu was so good too. I came for an early dinner, thought I was ordering off the regular menu, then was pleasantly surprised when the check arrived. Had I not made other plans after dinner, I would've stayed longer and ordered more! I'm definitely coming back here the next time I'm in Seattle.
